GY6 stands for “Got your Six” – a phrase popular among service members. It means you are covered; that someone has your back.
What is Got Your Back Veteran?
GY6V is a tool to provide Veterans with ways to improve each other’s lives. It is all about building a stronger local Veteran community. Both Veterans and Community Members can offer assistance to those in need through a variety of discussion boards.

GY6V serves Veterans who reside in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
What can I do to help?
There’s a lot you can do to help area Veterans, either as an individual or as part of a group. To get started, register and view discussion boards for current needs in your area. GY6V is a nonprofit organization that was established to address a growing community need. While we are a nonprofit, we do not have 501(c) tax exempt status. How can other organizations partner with GY6V?
GY6V is a great tool to help other nonprofit groups plan service projects or other events what will help our service men and women at home. Browse through current needs or contact us about your own unique event. We can then work with you to allow eligible Veterans the chance to apply within that specific project or event.
